About River Hoops

Welcome to River Hoops, a community-based basketball association dedicated to providing quality basketball opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels throughout the Miramichi region.

Since our beginning, River Hoops has been committed to growing the game of basketball by creating positive experiences where players can develop their skills, build confidence, form lasting friendships, and develop a lifelong love of the sport. Whether a child is picking up a basketball for the very first time or preparing to compete at a high level, we strive to provide programs that challenge, inspire, and support every athlete.

Our mission is to develop young people through basketball by providing quality coaching, meaningful competition, and inclusive programming in a safe, positive, and respectful environment. We believe that basketball teaches far more than the fundamentals of the game, it builds leadership, teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship, and character that extend well beyond the court. River Hoops offers a wide range of programs throughout the year, including introductory and developmental programming, house leagues, competitive teams, camps, clinics, tournaments, coach development, and junior referee opportunities. 

At River Hoops, we believe that basketball is for everyone. Our dedicated coaches, volunteers, officials, and families are the foundation of our association, and their passion and commitment make River Hoops a special place to learn and play.
