U11 Player Development – Wednesday, October 7
All boys and girls registered for U11 are invited to our first Player Development session of the season:
Wednesday, October 7
6:30–8:00 PM
Dr. Losier Middle School
The session will focus on individual skill development and game play, giving players plenty of opportunities to learn, compete, and have fun on the court.
Player Development sessions will be an important part of the U11 program throughout the season as we continue to build strong fundamental skills and help players develop confidence and a love for the game.
Interested in Playing on a U11 Travel Team?
River Hoops will also begin the process of forming our U11 Boys and U11 Girls Travel Teams this weekend.
Saturday, October 10
U11 Boys
1:00–2:30 PM
Gretna Green Elementary School
U11 Girls
1:00–2:30 PM
Dr. Losier Middle School
All U11 players who are interested in playing on a travel team this season are encouraged to attend.
Playing on a River Hoops travel team gives players an opportunity to experience additional basketball while continuing to participate in the regular U11 program. Travel team players will have one additional practice each week, normally held on Saturday or Sunday.
Throughout the season, travel teams will also participate in games and tournaments against teams from other communities, playing approximately 20 games over the course of the season. The season will culminate with the opportunity to represent River Hoops at the Basketball New Brunswick Provincial Championships in February.
Travel basketball is a great opportunity for players who are looking for more time on the court, additional competition, and the chance to continue developing their skills in a team environment.
We’re looking forward to seeing our U11 players back in the gym and kicking off another great season of River Hoops Basketball!
